The reason it is more prevalent is because western countries are far more racially diverse. East Asia and South East Asia have some of the most homogeneous countries in the world.

Remove Australia, Argentina, and Brazil. these places are very racist.

Take out Norway, Sweden, and New Zealand. these countries dont even have an adequate amount of minorities living there for this study to be accurate.
New Zealands population is 14.90% Maori, 11.80% Asian , 7.40% Pacific Islander origin and 64% European and 2% other. Though a small country It's population is proportionately less white than that of the USA, if you include white Hispanics for what they are - white.

Canada's not really racist anymore, especially in the large cities where around 80% of the pop. resides but let's not get carried away with that. Most of the political and business leaders in this country still come from either british or french canadian racial backgrounds so I don't think the place is completely colour blind just yet. British and French canadians (especially Quebecois) are still very clannish and would rather deal with their co-nationals. We're getting there, though. I'm starting to see more and more visible minorities in positions of authority than I used to even 5 years ago.

It should be higher than 64%. New Zealand white population is around 3 million, the rest make up about 1 million. I would say New Zealand white population is probably around the 75%.

USA white population is around 60% and it is dropping due to massive among of immigration. I won't be surprised if Mexicans become majority in about 50 years.

What was the remark from Grey's Anatomy. I thought it was Desperate Housewives that badmouthed the Philippines, and it wasn't about colors?

This how the USA's own population reported it's race at the last census.

Exactly! Filipinos mostly don't seem all that racist. A few older ones are kinda weird but overall not much.

I work with a LOT of Filipino health care workers. Most of them are pretty racist.

I think the issue is class/classism, more so than race!

What I noticed also by living in Europe is that, paradoxically, allowing countless immigrants to enter in Europe "because racism is bad, we must receive everyone, bla bla" is, at the same, making Europeans grow angrier towards infinite immigrants coming here.

PS. To all those saying that Europe isn't "different", take into account that most Western European countries have immigrants at 8-10 %(compared to 14% of US) on average in a much smaller area and much more densely populated.
