Most of the time, yes.

The example of the Americans traveling abroad thread.
I think i said something like "We have so much do to here that sometimes we don't really need to travel abroad"
Some thought that translated to "USA is the best, you all suck"

In that particular example they are all wrong, considering i never go around saying "We're number one!"
last time i remember saying that was in a joking matter on one of our USA vs *insert random country* threads on this forum about a month ago.

Ok, now that makes perfect sense. I may not always agree with you but I can relate to your frustration even if I get that way for different reasons.

There is the whole pop genre which is almost worldwide (I'm not a fan of any pop really), but there are so many just good musicians in the US. I haven't really been as impressed with other countries music. And that is just listening to the music. I just can't enjoy any music from Central or South America. There is no uniqueness to it. It all sounds the same. Same with Kpop and Jpop and Cpop. Alot of African and Caribbean musicians are talented though, along with the UK.

I'm more of a metal person myself, and while there are a number of successful nonamerican bands, Messugah(sp?), Rammstein, Selptura, Black Sabbath... America pretty much dominates the genre, and it's a very wide genre.

I'm just going to make a list:
Korn
Alice in Chains
Nirvana
Tool
System of a Down
Pantera
Soundgarden
Disturbed
Slipknot
and the list goes on.

The one area I do have American Pride is in music.

Yeah music industry is pretty huge, the movie industry is pretty big as well.

Cinema of the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Plus we are the 3rd most visited country by international tourist so there must be something fascinating here people want to see?

I lived in the Eurozone when I was a kid so I'll offer my perception.

It's just amazing how all those people from all those different countries can live and work around one another and not tear the place apart.
