Right now Ethiopia's population is closer to the 94-97 million mark, but that doesn't really matter when comparing military. But I'm going with Ethiopia as they're military is larger and they've been through many wars.

Because Ethiopia and Kenya have more pressing things to deal with while NY and NJ is in the US and we all know the US loves war...

Ethiopia and Kenya signed a mutual defense pact in the late 1960s so chances of conflict are extremely slim. That pact is all the more important because both nations have faced Somali secessionist movements in their Ogaden (Ethiopia) and Northern Frontier District (Kenya) regions. There was also a close friendship between Kenya's First President Jomo Kenyatta and Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie.

But if they ever do hypothetically go to war, Ethiopia would definitely win. Larger, more tested military.
