I hope Less, like 100-110 countries would be nice but i'm afraid it will be more, especially outside the Western World i can see more countries splitting up

I know Taiwan and Hong Kong is considered a "special part" of China - Well its possible these places will become sovereign states

Some more African countries could split up like Sudan / South Sudan

Catalonia is Spain could well split from Spain.

Russia could split up.

Indonesia and Malaysia could split up

India too

I'd say that we can reasonably expect the number of independent countries to grow.

There will eventually be one world order and one world government.

It's all happeneing. Look at the EU. Eventually they will become one and slowly absorb countries eastward, Eventually conquering the world as we know. And we'll all have microchips implanted into us and we'll all just be cogs in the machine that is one world government, so I voted less.

Hong Kong is, Taiwan isn't. It's complicated, you can google it if you're interested.

Why and how? The only way that there'd be only 100 countries in the world is annexation, do you think there's any state out there that'd be ok with being annexed?

Anyway there'd be more, like, a lot more. Nationalism is irreversible and is growing literally everywhere. Sooner or later, all of them would cry for independence like the 13 colonies back in 1776.

Then after a long time there'd be a WWIII or probably an enormous natural disaster, then 80%(or maybe 100%) of the population would be wiped out of the world. Then the history would reenact.

Karma.

Isn't Hong Kong a territory of China?

Ok, fusion. Better than annexation, since it'd be done by negotiation instead of wars or coercion.

But do you want to be a citizen of "the Benelux"? Or other Dutch people? Other Belgians?Other Luxembourgers? How would they feel about it?

I think what people want matters the most.
