You are on the same latitude as me, would you not consider India as the other side of the world? It is 5,000 miles away.
longitude, and I'm a bit closer to India since I'm 15 degrees souther than you.
Anyway, it's a bordeline case for me, but it still doesn't feel as "other worldy" as china for example does.
Sometimes the next state 100 miles away is the other side of the world, depends on the day, my mood and how much ice is on the roads.
Then there is the whole tomorrow in Australia and China thing when it is still today here and not there.
Pretty much everywhere except East and South Asia, and the Islands of the Pacific. Maybe anything east of Hawaii or west of Afghanistan.
