Are people not as health conscious here like they are
elsewhere or what? I can only imagine how these same
people eat at home since what you choose to eat for a
restaurant reflects your home food choices as well.
The real question is, why does anyone give a damn how anyone else eats?

Eat what you want and leave everyone else alone. Nobody is perfect.

I suppose it depends on your definition of fast food. Low quality, ready for sale food made in unsanitary conditions and sold inexpensively to hurried passersby in not a new concept.

In the Han dynasty of China, 2,000 years ago, there were 24-hour noodle stands.

In medieval England, cookshops sold pre-made, low quality offal and grain pies to passersby.

In the 18th and 19th centuries, street carts in New York City sold oysters and roasted nuts.

I would agree that the modern corporate model of fast food is an American invention.

I don't know anyone who eats at McDonald's or Subway or Wendy's or any of those places. None of my friends or relatives goes near those places. So you have a mistaken impression of Americans. They're not all the same. Nor are Europeans.

That.
I haven't eaten at McDonald's in like a decade, I don't like Subway (and no it is not healthy either!) or Wendy's. I usually home cook prepare our meals, and shop farmers Markets, Trader Joe's, Whole
Food, etc. I hate it when people try to stereotype everyone...just isn't that simple.
