Perhaps.
Some more:
Denver- Madrid(both cities are lofty(Madrid is the highest capital city in Europe, Denver is the highest major city in the USA), they are major financial centers and telecommunication centers. Located in dry flat regions.)

Don't laugh, but I'm reminded of Luxembourg City every time I drive through downtown Hamilton, OH (a Northern suburb of Cincinatti)

Washington DC = meaner, more prominent Strasbourg
Philadelphia = Manchester with better location and less prestige
Los Angeles = Athens with worse transit and more cultures
Portland (OR) = riverside Copenhagen

Not bad.
Savannah,GA- Krakow, Poland(both cities still have alot of their old architecture and charm intact and were relatively spared of the ravages of war. WWII for Krakow, The Civil War for Savannah.)
Another way Atlanta is similar to Berlin(both cities were never really meant to be big cities but beame big cities.)
Another Atlanta comparison.
Atlanta- Bucharest(alot of Atlanta's old architecture was burned down. Bucharest went through Ceaushima where Nicolae Ceausescu torn down alot of old historic buildings to make room for his communist structures.). Both cities have seen very hard days and are doing better and gladly using the new. Interestingly enough, Atlanta and Bucharest are sister cities.
Peachtree City,GA- Akademgorodok,Russia(both cities are relatively suburban and have scientific institutions. PTC has the National Weather Service. Both cities were built relatively late in the game(late 1950s to late 1970's for both of them).
