Oh. I don't know much about either place, other than Dodge City. I knew it was a military outpost.

I would compare Dodge City,KS to Gibraltar because they were military outposts.

Buffalo,NY - Gdansk,Poland (German and Polish heritage, Catholic heritage, port)
Columbus,OH - Heidelburg,Germany (German influence, cities with major university influence, near a river)
Hamtramck, Michigan - Tychy, Poland(cities with Polish influence, played a part in the
automobile industry. Hamtramck has an automobile plant, Tychy had a Fiat assembly plant).
Seattle,WA - Vienna,Austria (Major coffee culture and music culture but of different types).
