Default American city and European counterpart.

I have been seeing threads comparing cities and I have some of my own.

Atlanta: Berlin(rising out of the Phoenix of the ashes of war and hard times and is a booming town.)
Boston: Dublin and London (Irish influence combined with intellectual university influences of London.)
Pittsburgh(and Birmingham,AL): Birmingham,UK(steel industry).
New Orleans: Amsterdam(live and let live lifestyle, unique architechture, below sea level), Paris(French influences).
Minneapolis: Helsinki(Nordic influence, lakes).
San Francisco: Lisbon(upon many hills and nice architecture and next to the ocean.)

Feel free to add some more

San Francisco has some aspects that seem European, but for the most part, SF is neither American nor European, its San Franciscan.

Rather university influence of Oxford and Cambridge, than London.

It is not as flashy as southern California, with better walkability, narrower streets, and some of the residential properties (Victorian replicas) look similar to parts of the British Isles. They look better than the original. The British Isles is mostly rundown.

Default Moscow & Dallas

Moscow and Dallas:

Lots of oil money, and a generous helping of big-headed apparachniks who like to tell others what to do.

I guess that's the closest for this comparison, but I think Dallas is alot more welcoming and more peaceful than Moscow.

Chicago- Munich(specializes in alot of things, a large world class city, a place for work)

Houston- St. Petersburg,Russia(a major seaport and deals in fuels and aerospace. Built in a swampy area)

Minneapolis-St. Paul,MN- Budapest( Budapest is really two cities, Buda and Pest, and are like twin cities like MPLS-St.Paul. Boh cities are on a major river.)
