15 years? during the 2000? I was thinking it was common during the 1990 but not later.
Anyways, it show a lot about the economic situation in Russia. It the kind of thing that you don't imagine will happen in a big country who are member of G8.

I'am curious about Chechenya, maybe it's an opportunity for independant movement there?

The 80's will probably return soon. Off to Lening... I mean St. Petersburg to buy vodka, caviar and pu$$y with a pair of stockings, chewing gum and some Western pop-vinyls.

Used "условные единицы" (у.е.): conventional units. 1 conventional unit = 1 US dollar.

You are behind the times. Head of the Chechen Republic enjoys quite serious respect among Russians. Despite the fact that 15 years ago he had fought against Russia. There are many things that have happened to Russia in the past 15 years. 15 years when Putin runs the country.

Why? By the standards of Russian nothing terrible has not occurred. We no declared war, nuclear power plant did not explode, asteroids not fall down on Chelyabinsk, etc. Putin is working normally. He had a working meeting with the president of the Chamber of Commerce in Russia.

Which is even more worrying than the population's unconditional support for Putin. Seriously, that guy is a lunatic. Than again, that whole piece of land (Chechnya) and a good portion of its population is rather ****ed up.

Be advised that what is taking place right now, at frightening speed, in foreign exchange and commodities will have ramifications not only upon Russia but the rest of the world.

The sudden decline in the price of black gold, now closing on $50 has put in tangible jeopardy a wide range of economies, currencies and derivatives around the globe. It only takes the first domino to fall for trillions of dollars in commodity derivatives in the west, the equity markets of crude producing nations, even the US high yield bond market, to start unraveling with catastrophic effect.
