Then what exactly are you linking it as evidence for?

It is discussing a model of multiple universes that is being discussed here. It is the most general multiple universe theory I know of.

Rather than being cosmology it's more in the realm of metaphysics, which I don't think tegmark is qualified for. Your own link spells out the many problems with it. Interestingly Tegmark himself seems to say that he doesn't believe it.

I would give everyone the ability to read / understand each others thoughts. Think of how much it would simplify communication amongst people and cut to the chase on relationships and time / energy people waste / share for wrong reasons. It would enable the more civilized and respectful to ascertain those with bad intent, detect fraud, etc...

Imagine how quickly those diplomatic meetings would go between countries? (Good, bad, indifferent)

Very backwards thing to mention if you ask me.

More open minded less prejudice attitudes would be better than telling everyone what they should or shouldn't believe in is better for the world in my opinion.

All of this is theoretical now. All of it is essentially metaphysics. We cannot observe other universes as of now and we know little to nothing about them or if they even exist.

Oh the fact that it's metaphysics is not an issue. It's about tegmark not being qualified in metaphysics.

How do you determine the qualifications of someone to make philosophical theories?

I think having at least an undergraduate degree in philosophy would help. Ideally tenured with a doctoral degree.

Where does philosophy end and physics begin? I am a physicist. However, I have taken many philosophy classes and it is a passion of mine.
