Why does the world it seems, always refer to Roman Catholics as 'Catholic' or 'The Catholic Chuch'. When actually the word Catholic means "Universal Christian Church" or all christians no matter there denomination. Hench; all Protestants, orthodox, or any other christians are 'Catholic' not just the church of Rome.
The assumption that Catholics are not Christians infuriates me, particularly when these reformist churches originated from the Catholic church.

Most people have heard of Northern Ireland so you'd be pretty safe in using that too.

This is another tired argument on here. These people know full well that American refers to someone from the USA and no other country. They do this just to argue and nit-pick.

I've never considered anywhere else other than the United States to be America. I call people out who try and say they are from America i.e Brazilians, Canadians etc.

Why not refer to all Americans as Southerners, since the USA has Canada for a northern neighbor that excels at everything the USA fails at?
