We all know that the Mediterranean sea and the Caribbean sea attract the most tourists, and are probably the ones that people dream about visiting. But what about some of the lesser known seas that don't attract as many international/global tourists. If you were given the option to spend one month (of your choosing) on the shores of one of these seas, which one would it be? and which cities would you visit? Also which one do you think has the highest potential.
The Gulf of Mexico for all intents and purposes is a sea, more so than many others such as the caspian sea, dead sea, etc. Also the Gulf and the black sea are quite popular but mostly by people who live within 2,000 miles of their shores. All these seas have one thing in common, they are all overshadowed by a more popular, larger, southerly sea. The gulf is overshadowed by the Caribbean, the Black sea is overshadowed by the Mediterranean, and the east China sea with the sea of Japan are overshadowed by the south China sea.
I just got back from a vacation on a beach in the Gulf of Mexico and the beach was outstanding and the water warm and inviting. I own a condo on the Mediterranean in southern Spain but the Gulf beaches are actually better imo.
Sea of Japan is a massive snow producer in winter season. Someday I want to visit Hokkaido and Northern Tohoku(Aomori and Akita).
Have a relax on the hot springs and watching the snow flurries falling from the sky.

im more of a warm weather lover but that sounds amazing. I really want to do that now.
The sea of Japan is warm during the summer months, after all it is fed by tropical currents. For instance currently Kanazawa, Japan the sea temp is 72 F (22 C) and in the peak of summer it rises to the lower 80s F (upper 20s C).
