The answers will probably depend on the age of the person. If you're given this opportunity later in life, you are most likely to choose 20 countries.
It also will depend on each person's reason for travelling. I would hate to make friends in a country that I could never visit again.
Twenty counties I didn't even have to think about it. Although I find researching about most countries interesting I have to admit most of them I would feel very uncomfortable traveling in due to the different standards of acceptable hygiene. I'm just being honest. I don't like litter, pollution, bad smells or chaotic crowds. I guess that would leave out a bunk of places.
Twenty countries. I even had fun coming up with my list (it was harder than I thought):
USA
Mexico
Brazil
Argentina
China
Japan
India
Thailand
Australia
New Zealand
Tanzania (safaris)
France
England
Spain
Italy
Germany
Czech Republic
Turkey
Iceland
Norway
Yeah because, 20 countries I can visit most of the countries that are first world and experience the culture some countries that are on the edge, and visit my home country. This is plenty of countries to choose from, I might not even get to twenty countries.
This is my list of 20 it was really difficult to narrow down there were many others I would like to include but this is the list of countries I would like to visit repeatedly.
Argentina
Brazil
Canada
Chile
Mexico
Peru
USA
Morocco
South Africa
Australia
Turkey
Belgium
France
Germany
Greece
Italy
Norway
Spain
Portugal
UK

My list is the same, only differences are...
