What cities feel like something out of science fiction? (title, skyline)

As it says in the title, what are some cities today that feel like they have come from science fiction?


I kind of think Las Vegas seems like a futuristic city to me at least.

I don't know what it feels like, but Shanghai looks like something out of science fiction with its weird skyline looking like "orbit city" from the show "the Jetsons".

I agree about Vegas, first time I was on the strip it felt a little weird.

Shanghai for sure. Tokyo, too. Think that's about it.


Vegas? Not to me, at least.

Yeah, the Pudong district of Shanghai would fit the bill. But only because of the Oriental Pearl Tower, which could be straight out of a 70s SciFi movie. The rest of the city? Not so much.

Astana looks like a small futuristic city.



Then there's the obvious like Dubai, Tokyo, Shanghai and Singapore.

Seoul I would choose for a William Gibson-esque futuristic feel.

It looks pretty decent for a low density urban area. Even though there's not much going on, I'm not sure why you think it's post-apocalyptic.
