I understand your pov--not everyone gets a lot of satisfaction from discussing political and/or social issues.

Yet I also understand the counterperspective: you can think, for example, "I believe that religious discrimination exists" but if you don't want to/refuse to talk about it, then you give the impression that you are "denying" a particular issue. For example, if I say to you, "Let's talk about religion/religious discrimination" and you say, "I don't want to talk about it, it doesn't interest me" then you are denying the topic; it may as well not exist if you never talk about it. And people usually want to talk about things (like race, religious discrimination, etc.) b/c that is usually how change starts--with a conversation.

It's not about satisfaction imo, it's just that there's nothing new to say on the subject -it's all being said before. It's boring.

Denial has a different meaning to you than me. Religious discrimination exists, but I'm still not interested in it. No denial there. I'm only interested in what the law is -that's what really makes change.
