If I want to be with my virtual friends, and use Skype or keyboard to communicate, I don't need a GREAT cafe to do so. I can do it from my living room couch...
I feel sorry for people who cannot normally communicate anymore, and need to talk to their gadgets...
People are able to have each of those traits at any World Class Independent Cafe at an equal amount. I never went to a Cafe where the Wireless Internet Wifi ever ruined the entire ambiance, experience, or socializing. The wifi service actually magnifies enhance everything to make the Independent Cafe even more valuable, and important to a community.

Why not have both at the same time? Socializing with other people outside of a computer, and the Laptop Computer friendly Wireless Internet? All of these Cafes have everything people want.

In other countries, people desire the same exact variation of life options. These Wifi Cafes are all over Planet Earth. Not just this country. At least 25 to 59 countries where discovering them are easy enough to everyday life.

Never devaluate, or wrongly accuse this very spiritual and powerful revolution of Independent Cafes having Wireless Internet making our World entirely improve, anyone.

Those best Independent Cafes are all representing to an equal matter of significance: 1. Ambiance, 2. Wireless Internet to Laptop Computers, 3. Coffee Tea magical Drinks, 4. Food meal items, 5. Any sold business item, 6. Enough Space, 7. Comfort Level To Socialize For All, and 8.

Up to each individual to decide their own desires whenever they visit.

I hate staying at my home all day. I usually feel very bored if I stay there too long. Even borderline depressed insane. I always rather post at a Cafe. I rather have all of my life outside of the home. And then I feel happy, stay very sane, rational.

What is normal communication anyways? That can be anything imaginable.

However, I get the point you and improb are saying these Cafes are supposed to have much more than one main objective. I already agree. I just believe every Cafe ought to support Wifi of having even more diversity and usefulness to a neighborhood.

I am very confused and don't know if any of the post was ever referenced to me at all or only the entire topic? Anyways, I have more than enough of a social life. I have more than 100 Facebook friends, and 5 girlfriends up to now. And technically hooking up to 25 hot ladies. I lost my virginity to a Peruvian lady at 15 or 16 years old. I use these Wifi Independent Cafes to socialize a lot too with everyone I know with "regular communication". When have I ever not said that? If any of these Wifi Cafes close down, I just get more discouraged with life and socializing less. When I had even more Cafes, I am socializing even more because there is then much more community destination zones.

Frankly, it's just a cultural issue.

I feel like cafes are either a place to socialize or to read a newspaper or book in solitude. It's about being relaxed. There simply is no need for wifi. And if you really have to check your mails, you can still use your phone or connect your laptop to your phone for a minute.

I really think that the atmosphere of a traditional Viennese cafe would be ruined, if it was fully occupied by yuppies and their MacBooks. It just changes the vibe of the place. Imagine this cafe with five people each occupying a table with one laptop. It would suck.

Gladly, it's not really a thing in Vienna. That said, I'm completely fine with modern cafes encouraging their customers to use their computers. Starbucks-esque cafes are just a completely different thing than traditional ones.

Wow, tons of people have no idea how much NYC went through a severe degeneration within the past three years 2013-2016.

Cafe Pick Me Up of the East Village, Verb Cafe, Tea Lounge, Bourbon, D'Espresso, Yogorino, Tea Spot, Esperanto and even Kaffe 1668 have all disappeared and are forever gone. Tragic closures. I deeply miss New York City the years 2000-January 2015. There is no other city in the entire World where those amount of World Class cafes closed less than 3 years later. They all pretty much made thousands of dollars everyday (Except Yogorino), and made millions of dollars. Unbelievably not warranted to have vanished randomly.

Now when I am in NYC, I have Cafe Reggio, Culture Espresso Bar, Aroma Espresso Bar, New Version of Tea Lounge (Sir D Lounge), Grounded, and the Cake Shop Bar all using unlimited wireless Internet. Always have fun online posting there. Never want to at my house. Also, I have my A+ grades at College when finishing homework at those Cafes. Finally, of course hanging out there with up to 105 various Facebook friends lots of socializing depending on various version of experience. Cafes are for all types of lives. Including well balanced ones to universal existence.

When I visited Austria, there are tons of Independent Cafes staying Wifi friendly, and simultaneously offering what you are looking for. Having wifi never takes that away, and only makes everything even more superior. Within three days of visiting Vienna, I discovered 5 of them all over the city. Vienna is ranked number one in very high quality of life after all.

At Innsbruck, Cafe Central is my favorite one. Around Vienna, Cafe Mozart. I have to recollect the names of the other 4 I know of at Vienna. I observed tons of people using their computers at Innsbruck's Cafe Central, and at enough cafes of Vienna. Traditional authentic Viennese cafes are improving at the entrance to the modern World. They would never get ruined. I have visited more than 50 Independent Cafes in over 10 countries, and there is never any deliberate sabotage going on.

None of those wifi cafes I know with wireless Internet would ever allow one person to entirely occupy a table of 5 for more than 2 hours. They would ask the individual to move at another smaller table for two people or less. And they usually have to pay more money as a customer. Fortunately, and gladly, Vienna Austria is offering enough of those luxury laptop computer friendly cafes to everyone, and inevitably becoming more popular. Independent Cafes are entirely separate from the chains, and the real key to the World Class Cafe realm. None of this revolution is originating out of Starbucks. I absolutely despise Starbucks. Except for Roy Street Coffee resembling a British Castle ambiance.

Nevertheless, while Italy is a very beautiful country with a high quality of life, all citizens must have this in their own daily lives.

Life without one might get dull and miserable much more easily. Especially when not traveling. I can't imagine life without Cafes or Travel lately.

Having them everywhere is a Universal Global ambition. They already exist around 25 to 89+ countries all over the World exactly according to my own very high standards. Not a North American thing.

No, I am not a Hipster or a Yuppie. Why are you against me having endless fun, and feeling ultimate entertaining value going to World Class cafes? Nobody will ever take my happiness away ever again. My ultimate discovery of these Independent Cafes is very legendary, and mythological. Actually, I absolutely despise hate Starbucks, and it's a nasty chain. Ironically, Italy isn't having any Starbucks yet in an entire country of 61 million people. I wish they maintained the same action to not allow Mcdonald's. Judging by not having starsucks, why is the Independent Cafe atmosphere not even more ubiquitous?
I'm happy about the way things are here, my place may not offer enough but that's because of it being a provincial town (out of which i'm gonna move soon but more because of the narrow minded thinking about several matters than anything else). On the other hand, i'm fully sure that Napoli and Rome both blow Milan out of the water when it comes to simple style. What Milan has going for it is multiculturality and art noveau but that can be found only outside the tourist place (which has its own sights and positives, that can't be denied) that's the Duomo and surroundings

Travel is something i'm fascinated from as much as you are although i don't have the economic disponibility for yet and can't focus on as i have to put my efforts into finishing my studies. The problem is that your so called independent cafes are everywhere in the world and you don't realize it, what you mean by that word is a fancy posh place where you, a yupster, can feel at home and look at your laptop instead fo socializing.

And yeah, you are a yupster, it can have its pro and its cons but the way you talk made me understand that you are and a pretty hardcore one at that. Maybe you haven't realized it yet or maybe you're denial but there's nothing wrong about that. I'm not here to change the way you are, just to express my point of view on a matter i hold dear

Are you trying to promote the "World Class Independent Cafe" here, OP? Looks like you don't have many followers of your idea. In the US, maybe, but not so much overseas...
I don't see people talking to their gadgets on any of your posted pictures. And Mozart Cafe don't looks like a right place to take out your laptop or talk on the phone...
In Innsbruck, like you see - people rather read a paper than play with the Internet... They also talk, you know - person to person...

^^^agree. I miss those type of cafes (too few and far between by me). It was nice to sit
outside, enjoy people watching (that included street performers and musicians) and talking
to people. Seeing life without a screen.

My topic is relevant to any Independent Cafe. Not only World Class ones exclusively. Although, I rather have the top best stores according to my own standards. Maybe I am going to alter any pretentious claim if there is an occurrence going on, yet not going too far.

Without a doubt, these Wireless Internet friendly World Class cafes are obtaining tons of euphoric popularity. More of them are developing all over the Globe, and getting very common. Unfortunately, isn't quite ubiquitous enough until later on.

Independent Cafe realm is undeniably a Global Universal phenomenon of necessary spirituality. Never just a North American thing. Overseas people deserve to have an equal amount of these treats around to enjoy when they desire or crave them.

All 198 nations of Planet Earth even distribution of resources in a hopefully fair reality. Never just one country? Trust me, these relevant wifi friendly Cafes supporting those types of service technically are already in at least 25 to 59 countries. Whenever I want to, I am able to have this lifestyle around at least 25 nations to 100 cities rather easily any Continent Europe, Asia, in between and having their own unique worthwhile ambiance. People taking advantage of these international Cafes is starting to occur.

Fortunately, these Wifi supportive cafes seemed to happen at around the same exact timing everywhere when the Computers got invented, subsequently to the Internet, and the ultimate creation of the World Wide Web where we now have thousands to millions of websites. What an incredible revolution people may not acknowledge. I can't believe in my own lifetime (I am only 23 years old, Very Young) the Internet, and Computers was barely even existing before I was getting older.

Honestly, I never want to become an overly arrogant American or thinking we are number one. Independent Cafes staying wireless Internet friendly is existing around lots of countries already. Global Universal, never American. Computers, and the Internet have an equal representation of invention at the countries of France, Germany, Switzerland, UK too. One relevant factual detail people really have to learn: First website of the entire World happened at Cern Science Lab of France/Switzerland Rhone-Alpes/Geneva area. Not USA.

Those Austrian Independent Cafes are pictures from the Internet. Experience of visiting made me observe lots of people using their own laptop computers at Cafe Central, and even Cafe Mozart. I asked the employee workers if they have laptop computer wireless internet, everyone exclaimed yes.

After traveling around 11 countries, people camping out with their own computers at a Cafe is happening everywhere. I have visualized these accounts at Bratislava Slovakia, Prague Czech Republic, Paris France, Nice French Mediterranean, Vienna Austria, Innsbruck Tyrol, Milan Italy, Bucharest Romania, Constanta Romania, and I bet Saigon Vietnam even more.

Why not everything simultaneously? People having their laptop computer at the Cafe, talking to whoever they are with, including right in front of them, reading the newspaper, talking person to person. Drinking wonderful coffee. Having a meal. Listening to a song. Finally, taking in all of their surroundings. Very easy balance to achieve whenever.
