Not really a fan of Geneva. Very bland, boring city, even compared to Zurich.

That said, a coastal Geneva-type city might be Copenhagen (similar prosperity and cleanliness, at least, easy access to nature, but not as scenic surroundings).

Yes, Geneva can be quite boring given that almost everyone as some place outside to go, especially on weekends.

I mentioned cleaned, but I am not obsessed with it, I would rather prefer a nice beach.

Thanks for your reply.

Never thought about it, but looks quite interesting, will try to find more about living there, thanks for the tip.

Thanks; by the way, thanks to everyone, the goal is to discover places that do not come to my mind, for some reason.

Definitely Genoa although it's quite a bit hillier and its city center is larger. Naples could be another city but it isn't as clean or ordered as Geneva but more of a mess

This is the boardwalk of Genoa:

Genoa doesn't really look or feel like Geneva. I don't think someone who favors Geneva would be happy in Genoa.

I have to say that the photo of Genoa (above in this post) does not inspire me too much, as it seems too big, with high buildings and too dense, but I never visited it, so maybe, I am wrong.

How about Helsinki? Not sure about sun/clouds but it does have an amazing coastline and pretty beaches. Super clean too, very green.

How about Montpellier,France? I also know that city from personal experience although small, it has excellent rail, it is a little ways from the sea, it has huge amounts of activity in the city center and it is barely one million in the entire Herault region. It although small has an exciting core with lots of activities. It like Geneva outshines most half a million metros and it has beautiful seaside towns nearby that you can explore.
