Curious what people think - which country do you think gets up, eats, and stays out the earliest and latest. I would easily say Spain is the place for night owls. Early bird land has to be China - school and work start early and everyone seems to eat dinner around 6 pm. Your thoughts!

Spain is the first thing that popped into my head, too, for night owls.
Depends upon the season... during the summer, the Arctic Circle is "the land of the midnight sun". Parts of Canada have very long days during the summer. Calgary, for example... the sun shines during the evening. Late summer nights are a routine there. There's a lot of nice evening time for socializing and relaxing.
If you like long nights, and turning in early, then Canada in the winter is a good choice. It'll be dark around 4pm in December, and the sun won't be fully risen until around 8:30 am in the largest cities along the border with the U.S. The parts of Canada closer to the North Pole get fewer hours of winter sunlight than that.

South Korea for night owls....the cities just rage with drunkeness and restaurants all night long.
Italy is pretty good in the night birds department as well. Maybe not as much as spain, but I find it hard to meet some people before 10 pm while some others get out of home around midnight during week-end nights.
I guess Taiwan is a country for both night owls and early birds...many things open so early and close really late...and of course there are a **** ton of 24 hour places.

I don't think it's a good thing though.
I would have to agree regarding Taiwan. Taiwan has the nightmarkets. But, then you can find things early in the morning including nice breakfast.
