BUENOS AIRES (Argentina):
It's authentic, colorful, every time I visit I feel like I am in old vintage Europe, but with the South American spice and color. Argentines are a proud, interesting, cosmopolitan people. They have excellent meat, ice cream, pizza, and Argentina itself is a marvelous country of deserts, jungles, mountains, glaciers, tundra. It's a fascinating place and I cannot get enough of it.
BUDAPEST (Hungary):
It's like the Buenos Aires of Europe, old European cafes, architecture that looks like it has been sitting there without any modern fix or upgrade for the last 80 years. Some buildings still have bullet holes from WWII, some parts look like you stepped back into the cold war and Hungary was communist, and then you walk to the next boulevard and you're back in modern Europe, only to then turn into a street that feels like you're in 1960's Europe. It's a really cool weird city with an odd mix of Orderly Western Europe meets hardcore Eastern Europe, meets gypsies chaos, meets Jewish ghetto feeling.
HAVANA (Cuba):
It is another planet and Cubans only make it better. It's very safe, it's very old and falling apart, Cubans are a different race of people who have not been yet polluted by the modern world. Nor Havana is filled like most modern cities with starbucks and mcdonalds.... most cars are 1940's oldsmobiles and buicks, how cool is that! Sadly this is about to change with the US opening Cuba up. IF you want to travel back in time, visit Cuba NOW, before it's too late!
