I really can't be bothered to waste any more words on this type of thread or on this forummer who seems to have suddenly in order to try and post such flame threads.
So it comes out Europeans are not as knowledgeable about the US as they think they are, especially when they engage in political discussions about the US without even truly understanding the culture, the country, or the roots of the problems the country might have! But yet they will school Americans on how the US needs to do this and that! Yet most of their knowledge comes from TV and stereotypes.
Hyuk hyuk, that certainly shows that you haven't read in these forums very much, or you would be aware of the extent to which Americans virtually ignorant of foreign countries do exactly the same thing!
As for Europeans thinking the U.S. is "Anglo-Saxon," that discount those millions of Europeans who are quite aware of the migrations from their own countries in the past to the U.S.
However, after all your banging on the pulpit your remarks about the UK were hilarious. Talk about an asshat.
You are off to a bad start, even for Trolling 101.
America's core culture is anglo saxxon, whether you like it or not. Americans speak English and the US shares many similarities to other English speaking countries. Most Americans are white. Young Americans learn Shakespeare, not Baudelaire or Dante.
Almost nobody speaks German or French in the US nowadays. Spanish has been on the rise in the last few decades but it will slowly decline as the second and third generation of Hispanic immigrants will adapt to the core anglo culture and speak English. Spanish in the US also has a bad image, many Americans see it as immigrant language or third world language and associate it with illegal aliens and poor people and not the rich and colorful language from Spain.
Ethnic diversity is almost irrelevant as people are forced to adapt to the core culture which is anglo. You can't be successful in the US if you don't adapt to that culture.
Same reason Americans think that everybody in Europe is white.
Just look at France's national soccer team
Hey, they mixed up a picture. The one in the second column second from the right is clearly British. Oh, it's Lucas Digne.

America is VERY diverse
Plus that is NOT the point. The point is why is US diversity ignored outside the US.
What a surprise? I think pretty much every European has someone in their family who emigrated to the US, and they know it. Most of my maternal family emigrated.
