Already won the women's World Cup. If soccer was popular with men here, we would be winning that too. As far as fighting goes, where are most of the best boxers from and where were they trained? And what is threatening about the dudes in those pics? LOL

It's very easy and convenient to blame the English but this is simply not the case and there is very little violence in the British Premier League which is policed properly. Most violence these days is actually in mainland Europe and not in the UK.

It takes two to tango. The English fans had shouted "where's ISIS now?", singing about shooting down German bombers, shouted anti-French and anti-Muslim slogans and other for half a day, so no wonder if someone gets provoked. The PSG "Boulogne Boys" hooligan firm has travelled down to Marseille (their arch rival) just to hunt down these British fans.
The Marseille locals aren't either very happy with the English delegation's behaviour.

And you have to admit that the English football fans don't have an especially good reputation about good and respectful behaviour. They are as bad as the Russians.

Many #RUS fans have planned to travel to Nice tomorrow to attend the game between #POL and #NIR. The worst is yet to come. #EURO2016

LOL. It doesn't work that way. You can't simply decide you're #1, you have to work your way up to the top, and soccer is the world's most competitive sport, so therefore the hardest.

In Central and Eastern Europe the hooligan scene has become more and more 'professional', with guys adept at MMA, boxing and using a sh*tload of steroids and dope. But they are also training tactics about how to move in an urban environment avoiding the police. Anyway, these are guys who have been street-fighting for years. Sure, you can claim that you Americans are so tough, but I'm sure that you'd be crying for your Mum in 5 minutes.

Total Rubbish and the Russian fans aren't even Muslim, they were attacked by Marsaille Ultras and Russian Fans dressed in black looking for trouble. Don't try to justify violence against England fans, nobody deserves to be attacked in this way, the vast majority of our fans are decent people despite the one sided pictures you seem to enjoy posting.

In the UK we have all but stamped out most of the Football violence that we once had in the 1970's and 80's and countries like Russia even come to us for advice on such problems.

Imagine a Ukraine-Russia final, it's every French policemen's nightmare at the moment. The Ukrainian Civil War would move from Donetsk to Paris in a matter of minutes, it seems to me though that the Euros and Copa America bring up clashes much more often than the World Cup does, probably because they are more affordable. It must be said that French ultras are giving it their all to make this a memorable tournament although in the wrong way

Americans would be the first to run away for sure, in fact they wouldn't even dare travel there in the first place, not unless they could bring their gun of course!

Violence is acceptable when people are shouting and singing at you

Of course nobody deserves it, but don't claim that the English are just innocent bystanders enjoying the day.

What I read on twitter was that:

1) the English were provocating
2) the locals got fed up
3) the police intervened
4) the Russians joined the party

That's because soccer isn't the most practised sport by women in large parts of Western Europe. Our main woman sport in Italy is usually volleyball. Aside from that, i know no one who actually cares for women's football

Violence is never acceptable though, especially for something as stupid as sports but French police should have known what was coming and at the same time, English fans should know that their wit doesn't fly as much abroad as it does in their own country

No, but if someone shouts like "fu*k you" at you for 5 hours while trashing your local bar, is it surprising that maybe you get a bit annoyed at some point?
