Apparently not.

Every time this topic comes up, it's always funny how some Canadians chime in and talk about the differences between Canada and the USA as if it was Switzerland vs. Mongolia.

As a French citizen I feel pretty close to the United States on many levels, despite some striking differences.

The North and the Midwest is most similar to Canadian Ontario, while the Southwestern part is most similar to Mexico.

I don't care how many insecure Canadians will go through hell and back to try and prove how Canada is different from the USA, Canada is the obvious answer..
I think Australia is second:
-They used to be a British colony.
-They speak english lol
-They have a lot of car-centric cities
- They have beach culture in a lot of their cities/surfing culture in many of their cities just like Californian cities.
-Country music. Beer. Steak.
-They have a big film industry
-They have a lot of rednecks lol, and politically they seem to be fairly conservative.

Why can't we upvote on this site? Any Canadians denying this is delusional.

Aside from obvious differences in wealth, Los Angeles for instance looks much more like Tijuana than Boston.
