Syria, Jordan and Iraq

Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia

NZ and Australia

Columbia and Venezuela maybe with central America

Chile, Boliviam Paraguay, Uraguay and Argentina
The French speaking West African countries are divided by culture, language and religion. In addition there are some countries that are mostly Muslim, and some countries that are mostly not Muslim.

The Balkan countries, no way, can't imagine Serbia uniting with Albania or Serbia uniting with Croatia. Also there was a war there 20 years ago.

Are you serious with Syria, Jordan and Iraq uniting? Jordan is one of the most stable countries in the Middle East with a stablised and modern monarchy and government. Syria and Iraq is the most unstable countries in the Middle East, with so much disunity with different factions of governments and tribes where they are killing each other.

Australia and New Zealand, New Zealand is too far from Australia to be united with Australia. Also the movement is not popular to unite as one country.

I think that will result in Yugoslavia 2.0, except even more disastrous. Kurdistan needs to be independent imo, but I know that messing with the borders in that region in any way is going to lead to war and bloodshed

Been there, done that. The Republic of Central America, which seceded from Mexico then broke apart.

Make Bosnia smaller, give a part to Croatia, a part to Serbia (cause 50% of Bosnia is one of those two).

Serbia + Montenegro.

North Ireland and Ireland.

Baltic nations

Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg (they call it Beneleux?)
Not quite. The largest group in Bosnia are the Bosniaks (Muslims) at something like 42% of the population. Serbs are the next largest group. Croats only make up around 15% or so.

I agree that the borders make no sense, and in many cases fly in the face of and totally disregard the historic lands of the region's many peoples. That said, would merging them together actually make things better?
