Where would you emigrate to if America became a third world country?
I love America too much to leave. Would you stay or would you emigrate ?

America may have it's problems, but it's still WAAAAAAAAAY ahead of whoever is in 2nd place. I'll stay and fight for the Constitution this nation was founded on.

If our government and big business turned so dysfunctional that we were worse than, say, Zimbabwe (not likely at all)........I would give hard thought to leaving----------short of the above scenario, I would definitely stay

I'm taking my Archaeology degree to Scotland, but not because I fear America's slide into Third World obscurity. They've got the sites and I want to dig them...
I may live there and work there, but I will NOT be giving up my American citizenship.

Somewhere warm, maybe Spain or Portugal. Maybe the Caribean if its not also considered a third world country.
I need to be warm, I hate being cold.

I've been giving this some pretty serious thought, actually. As I see it, if the USA falls that hard, then western Europe, Canada & Mexico will just as bad off - if not worse. I won't go into all the politics of why I think that as its another discussion entirely! Here's a list of countries I'd consider in order of preference:
New Zealand
Australia - lived there before and would love to go back
Argentina
Chile
Panama
Costa Rica
Honduras
Nicaragua

I would stay but probably live off of the grid in the mountains somewhere. Actually I would do that now if I could.

I'd say Argentina or Norway
