Ok, I just sampled some of Chainsmokers songs...NO! Just NO!!! While there are all sorts of genres of music you can dance to, when I here the phrase "Dance Music", I think of the 4 to the floor beats, not syncopated Hip-Hop style beats or triplicates. Man I miss the 90's.

There were many house tracks like that in the early 2000's. Some were popular in Europe and Australia, but I assume this sound wasn't popular in America.

America during that period seemed more interested in hip-hop or female pop stars.

Anything that sounds remotely like Disco is shunned in the US. The backlash against Disco ran deep.

Me neither, especially when you realize the first rap songs were done over Disco instrumentals.

Yep... I pass the factory every day to and from work... until last year the factory store also sold Lindt in bulk but no more... only the Ghirardelli brand is not sold in bulk... too bad but many were going there to buy Lindt.

It like Milka always had Suchard on the label and then I started seeing Kraft and now the Kraft name is gone and another in it's place.

One Christmas the local Walgreens had Milka and Manner but it was a one shot deal so I still stock up when I shop Metro in Salzburg.

They've been referred to as the Nickelback of EDM, but what they are is insanely popular. They're currently numbers 7, 10, and 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100 with 3 different songs. That's the thing with having a big hit in the US though, it usually has to be something generic enough for the masses to eat up. It's the same with other genres as well.

The EDM that you'd prefer is probably at the festivals that occur across the US every year rather than the Hot 100.
