Australia

New Zealand

Then maybe Argentina or Mexico.

Australia first choice for sure.

I don't see mass emigration in the cards--on the chance that the US does start heading on a massive downturn, I think the political framework will allow it to correct itself before it gets too bad. Economically, it should be able to ride the good fundamentals that were put in place by the previous administration for at least a couple years I'd think.

Yes, America is still keeping most of it's people. But the signs are everywhere, and we now have politicians saying totalitarianism is on the way.

So, with that said, where will all these millions go when the country completely unravels? Perhaps Australia or Argentina?

These would be people who work and are not looking to move, but they are going to be forced to go soon.
LOL. The vast majority move within the US. Very few move elsewhere unless they have spouses from those countries or are simply living the expat life (which is a move that is temporary in nature--even if for many years).

The countries that are attractive tend to be very expensive (Australia, Scandinavia) in terms of prices and taxes, mainly for work (Singapore, UAE), or more for retirement (Spain, Panama, etc.). For the normal life for most middle income, the US has plenty of great places to go to escape our hell holes.

The vast, vast majority will stay because only simple minded alarmists actually think that a democratically elected, but widely unpopular president will ruin the country forever.

People who leave might well have left anyway, regardless of the current political climate..

fully agree that america is in great shape right now but it was in great shape for the last three years under obama , whats changed under trump is a complete disregard for the world beyond americas borders , trump is a brute who believes america absolutely has the right to use americas ( total ) dominance to its full capacity
Economically perhaps you are correct and I think it will come back to bite us in the arse if he is able to impose tariffs, border taxes, etc, which is looking less and less likely by the day.

Militarily, he's far more of an isolationist than Obama or Hillary. Just look at how the admin is reacting in regard to the **** show in Korea. They said he is not seeking regime change and he's not interested in a preemptive strike against the North, only a defensive missile shield for South Korea and Japan. He's not taking sides in regard to the impeachment in the South either.

Obama took sides in every little skirmish there was and usually the wrong side. I'm no Trumpian, but the new approach is refreshing.

This is literally the same tone as the Obama hysteria back in 2008, witnessing the similarities between the Democratic and Republican parties and their supporters is quite amusing at times...

Not happy with these elections? come join me and jump off the two party train

The tone of this thread suggest we are in a complete disaster and that there is something horrible happening that we need to leave...

With mass migration of millions of Americans to these countries we could easily change the whole demographic... which means we would just bring over whatever disaster we have here, over there.

I don't think those countries would accept all these crazy people from this crazy land full of horrible stuff.

Yeah, because extremists(anarchists) represent everyone. Do Trump followers who shoot immigrants represent all Republicans/Trump supporters?
