Why not? The "Horst-Wessel-Lied" is pretty catchy.

Haha, I had a group of Juventus football fans in Turin actually give me a Nazi salute once because they thought I was German (I think a German team was playing them that day and I don't look very Italian lol).

I am from France.

"Oh, Paris is so great"

"Tell me about wine"

"You're very nice for being French"

"What's that place you say you're from ? How far is it from Paris ?"

"Are you a Paris Saint-Germain supporter ?"

"comme-ci comme-"

since I'm from south-eastern europe:
If you're talking about online/english speaking sites: people assume I gotta be wallet stealer, benefit abuser who cares alot about brexit/nexit/dickit(deutschland leaving). It takes 5-6 years on average for said people to get how westernophobic I'm actually.
If you're talking about outside: Either they think "yogurt" or know nothing at all.

With all due respect, Deutschlandlied is NOT a Nazi song! Did you sleep in your history class?

As for the topic:

- Germany? Are there many refugees where you live? Are you afraid to walk by yourself after dark?

- No and no.

I'm well aware of that but the first stanza is oftentimes associated with the Nazi era because it was the national anthem (together with the Horst Wessel Lied) and I don't know any nazi song by heart.
