Capital of the new world, as in capital of the New World Order?

I think Trump scuppered any chance of New York getting that nomination, as Brexit did for London. All we can say about these two cities regarding world capital-dom is which out of the two is more influential politically, financially and culturally.

New York isn't even the capital of the United States.

World politicians have to fly to DC to meet Trump, not Trump tower.

The United States, along with some other major powers, don't give a crap about the UN at all.

Exactly- why do people keep ignoring these very important incidents?

What effect does Trump have with New York City being a world capital? He was very successful in real estate in that city.

NYC or Moscow
Interesting you bring in Moscow. It definitely feels like it's a major pole in regards to world affairs and it definitely is the center of the former Soviet block.

It's nowhere near as cosmopolitan as NYC though.

I think Singapore and Dubai will be bigger contenders in the future.

I like how the north of the river is the historic downtown with the Portland stone avenues, yet south of the river they are building dense high rise districts.

.

You are talking about a GLOBAL capital- in my opinion, it has to do with culture, influence, global interests and economics. Not just one thing.

How can you have a global capital with a government that goes against globalism?

The US has already lost billions in tourist dollars, its only the beginning. It is slowly losing popularity, people will start looking to other cities as 'global' cities.
