There just can't be a capital of the world, you would need to have a place that represents and advocates for all countries and regions of the world. New York and London don't do that, so neither.
There would have to be various World Capitals. And, with the current US government charade of being 'anti- globalist', I definitely wouldn't pick a US city.
Its Bradford, no question, you have to walk the streets before you can truly understand just how cosmopolitan this place is, home to Bradford City too don't forget, its very financially powerful too, high range international shopping, diverse population with many languages spoken, in the centre of the UK which if you look at a map is at the top of the centre of the world, fabulous curry and other international culinary delights, wonderful parks, pubs, clubs and bars. It simply doesn't get more worldly than Bradford.
Yeah, but London isn't part of the EU? Will this affect it's standing in the world?
As others have stated, London isn't even considered the "capital of Europe."
I still think London does have the whole package in terms of being a a financial, fashion, political, educational, and industrial power, so maybe London is the best choice.

But that is an unreasonable standard given that no country in today's world would accept being run by a world capital that is located in another foreign country.
Maybe in ancient times that standard would have worked.

Right, so there really can't be a world capital. Also, with Brexit and the current administration in the US, London and New York are out as world capitals.
If I would have to choose one, maybe Paris, Berlin or a city in Canada- Montreal?
