Melbourne versus Miami versus Sydney versus Tel-Aviv

This is a comparison of these cities and the metropolitan areas that surround these cities. So in other words, a comparison of one area against another area here.

These are my personal four favorite places on Earth, bar none (after these would be Barcelona) and I've been to three out of four of these (haven't seen Tel-Aviv up close and in person yet) and I've also lived briefly in one of them as well (Miami).

I'm curious on which of these other people like the most and why they seem to like that one the most. I would throw out some criteria to compare them on but really I want to leave the comparison as flexible as possible for others to weigh in on what they like or don't like about these four. As far as it concerns me, the four places are a dead even tie for me, for different things each one can make an argument as my favorite city in the world but I opt to the logic that the four of them tie as my #1 favorite in the world (a four way tie for me personally).

Which one is your favorite? Why?

None of those seem attractive to me at all. If I had to choose, I'd probably go with Melbourne.

I chose Miami, it's a great city and its location is very convenient, close to S.A and Europe. If Sydney wasn't so far from my family and friends i would have chosen it instead.
1-Miami
2-Sydney
3-Tel-Aviv
4- Melbourne

Curious to know why not ??

Tel Aviv looks to me like a kind of 'Miami of the eastern Med'. Huge beach area fronting a large city with decent weather and, I'm guessing, some good cuisine made from fresh locally grown produce.

They all offer similar things...i.e. city with a beautiful beach. I prefer Sydney beaches way more than Melbourne ones.

Miami's beach are alright, but the other side of Florida has prettier and more beautiful beaches. Miami is such an an interesting city still, and it definitely has a beach culture, and beautiful people.

I haven't been to Tel Aviv yet, but I will visit this August

For me, I prefer Syndey over Miami (which would be my 1 and 2) with a distant Melbourne. I can't compare Tel Aviv yet. Sydney over Miami because I like the hills and the way the topography overlooks the ocean...just not so flat. Both Miami and Melbourne are fairly flat, as far as cities go.

The spring city of course. The rest is Anglospheric PC strangeness.
