That could be true, but I can't find an image of a beach in China that is quite as striking as the first image of Rio de Janeiro.

The most ridiculous is in Salinópolis, where people go with their cars...

And some end the day like this:

"Spectacular" sure is one word to describe rush hour in NYC... lol.

The worst of NYC rush hour happens underground on the subway. Most notably Lexington ave on the 4, 5, and 6 trains and on the L train in Brooklyn. The 7 train in Queens gets pretty bad too.

The overcrowdedness of the 4/5/6 was the main driving force of the completion of the first part of the 2nd avenue subway.

Just google image search "NYC subway rush hour"
Well, yea. I wasn't considering underground. Though a lot of the crowding is usually due to MTA incompetence and obsolete station designs.

To my point point about Seventh Avenue, the city just announced they're going to be widening the sidewalks. They should do the same on 8th and 9th too.

Only a few cities in China really have accessible "beaches".
Chinese people do not like beaches too much, largely because dark skin is considered ugly in China. Many women bring an umbrella when it is sunny.

We recently took a taxi from Midtown Manhattan to La Guardia during rush hour and it was flat out scary. It also doesn't help when the local use their horns constantly. Worse than LA.
