Why are so many asian cities receiving so many visitors?
Have you ever been to those Asian cities? There are tons of tourists from all over the world. I see how you would think that if you live in the US. Most Americans go to South America or Europe for vacation because they are closer.
With all due respect but i think a person that lives a 1 hour drive from Amsterdam knows better than a person on the other side of the world.
There have been multiple attacks on gay people (especially at night) in the Randstad this year, one even got his face smashed in with a bolt cutter.

That's because gay people can't really do PDA in Asia, if they did they could be attacked as well. At least verbally.
Sorry but you just won't understand what it is like to live in societies that are very oppressive to the LGBTQ community because a) you are straight, and b) the Netherlands is very LGBT friendly.
This list is so misleading and seriously understate the number of visitors to Chinese cities. A chinese tourist to Shanghai is not counted, but the same tourist to Bangkok is counted. If we include all visitors, Shanghai will beat Bangkok by a wide margin
Yes, Shanghai is strangely low in this rank.
