Sudden epiphany of correctly understanding extreme variability to factually recognize on where someone is in Azerbaijan. Absheron region is for one example a complete polar opposite entity when juxtaposing next to Nagorno-Karabakh, Nakhchivan area, or even Lankaran, in every way imaginable.

Maps of Azerbaijan: http://galaa.weebly.com/uploads/1/4/...19954_orig.jpg

The ten regions of Azerbaijan.
1. Absheron 6. Aran
2. Ganja-Qazakh 7. Yukhari-Karabakh
3. Shaki-Zaqatala 8. Kalbajar-Lachin
4. Lankaran 9. Daglig-Shirvan
5. Quba-Khachmaz 10. Nakhchivan

Epitome of trendy, modern, endlessly successful into the future wealthy revolution is usually only in Baku area of Absheron, including for Khazar Islands. Wondering what specific types of capitalization are occurring in the rest of the country. Probably not even close to Absheron’s own status. Encompassing that much of the best. Although, a vast majority of nations(Seoul=South Korea, NYC=USA, Bangkok=Thailand) are reaching these available expressions of central focus.

Families living in poverty in the shadow of Azerbaijan's luxury sports stadiums

Azerbaijan first needs to be a developed country, needs to erradicate it's international poverty, needs to improve in much things. They seem that they're spending their oil money in order to make them a false richer appearance worldwide, just as the F1, now this completely unnecesary monster island with sckyscrapers?!

What about new hospitals? What about new schools? What about improving the quality of life of their citizens?

I suppose that's secondary, if we beaten Dubai in skyscrapers. lol...

All those nigh-end sea-level developments like this one, Dubai, etc. will be under water in 20 year-30 years. Enjoy them while they last.

Usually we are each following infinite routes of bright optimism judging by our posts. Although, Netherlands, Thailand are the ones literally sinking into those problems from ecological reports. Baku Azerbaijan, and Dubai UAE arenít encountering any of these severe issues. There are other threats to Khazar Islands own to create status. Precarious financial variability to always secure billions of native currency funds, or the never ending trust on nonrenewable oil supply motivating Azerbaijanís own grandiose ideas into action.

OP, wake up. The town of Miami Beach already is underwater. Stretches of coastal highway in the Carolinas are now underwater. And that's during normal conditions, not "storm surges" during hurricanes. A Native American tribe is in the process of making relocation arrangements to land away from its coastal Mississippi delta habitat to land located safely inland, as we speak, having received a massive federal grant for that project. Whether or not the Gulf nations choose to recognize it or not, sea-level rise is coming. They need to re-think their development plans.

Suspicious paranoia of sustainable ecological atmosphere feelings. Quite overly domestic angle from you for the first occasion ever. Further International reflection, Thailand, Netherlands, Maldives are experiencing these same troubles. Oil supply is forever exhausting outside nonrenewable supplies.

Extreme divisions optical illusions are a multiple personality game everywhere in Azerbaijan. These Khazar Islands beginning main ideas to final results is just one side of Baku, or the unique nation geopolitically outside of either Europe, Asia, or even the Middle East. Vague uncertain bounds very obscure mysterious whether these are superficial or deep actions of genuinely improving tons of emerging building infrastructure. Regardless, logical moves to create Architectural landmarks. Inevitable solid guarantee to entirely support a quantifiable annual millions rush of tourists. World Class Wireless Internet Cafes, Nightclub Discotheque Bars are other equally practical valuable resources to have up in ubiquitous attention compared to Schools, Hospitals types of governing legislation.

Azerbaijan is a very poor country. Why would they build such monster towers if a good chunk of the country hasn't got even paved roads?

This somewhat reminds me of Astana in Kazakhstan which is undergoing a tremendous transformation with all of the projects taking place.
