If you could travel through one continent for year, which would you choose?
If you were given the opportunity to travel throughout one of the seven continents, with all expenses paid, which one would you choose? Why?

South America (including Central America). I think this is one of the most overlooked parts of the world by travellers, especially by folks from the USA. There are some wonderful cities, beautiful jungles, exquisite beaches, the incredible Andes Mountains and of course the Amazon Rain Forest. There is a vast array of indiginous groups that would provide an awesome cultural experience. I would also try to climb most of the major Andean peaks while down there.

I agree. South America is just an Amazing collection of ethnicities, cultures, fantastically varied scenery, climates, home to most bio-diverse place on Earth ( rainforest). Friendly people, many fascinating tribes, fabulous archaeological sites, and best of all this The Galapagos Islands.
I have travelled around it and it's fabulous. A year there would barely be enough to scratch the surface.
What's not to like ? And someone would pay me to travel in luxury as well. Can't complain.
Mind you I would love to be paid to travel around each of the continents ( apart from Antarctica where a couple of weeks would suffice me) .

Europe, no question for me. Didn't get to see nearly enough last time I was there and for the diversity alone, I've always wanted to go back.

My vote for South America. Macchu Picchu, the rain forests, the Inca Trail, Christ the Redeemer, Carnival, so many things, too many things to list.
I have already been everywhere in Europe - had I not, I would have picked it.

I want to go to Europe, as that seems like a good place to start traveling.
Then South America, for sure. Doesn't everyone want to ride a motorcycle through South America?

Even though I think Europe is great, I would have to go with North America.
Alaska - enough said
British Columbia
Pacific Northwest
California coast - Pacific Coast Highway
US Southwest
Rocky Mountains
Gulf Coast - Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida
Utah, Wyoming
Great Lakes - Chicago, Michigan
Appalachia
Chesapeake region
Virginia - Shenandoah Valley, Skyline Drive, Alexandria
NYC
Upstate New York - Finger Lakes, Lake George
Niagara Falls
Pennsylvania - countryside, Gettysburg, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia
New England - Boston, Vermont, Cape Cod, Maine
Montreal
Quebec
Nova Scotia
That could easily keep me busy for a year and leave me wanting a lot more.
