Haha... I'm not surprised that the US is one of the most emotional countries. We just have a lot of feelings.

I am surprised that France is one of the few countries in Europe that has a favorable opinion of the US... more so than Great Britain, Germany, and Spain? What?

And map 24 is just completely mindblowing. I had no idea half the world's population lived in such a small area.

Doesn't surprise me at all. I've never understood why Americans think French people are particularly anti-American. It must be projection.

All the countries in gray weren't surveyed so I'm sure there are a lot of countries in Europe that have a favourable opinion of the US.

Well I was just thinking about the rudeness Americans say they experience whilst visiting France. You could be right though.. it may be more Americans' problem. We are apparently very emotional.

I also think that many in the US think that the US and UK are "besties" since they are almost always on the same page regarding foreign policy, have many cultural similarities especially with regards to pop culture (i.e. music, television, etc.), and because so many Americans are anglophiles. Evidently the feelings are not reciprocated. So I do still think is a bit surprising that France views the US more favorably than the UK does.

And please don't judge me for using the term "besties". I may burst into tears if you do.

True, I didn't realize that earlier... but I think it is still interesting that France, of all countries in Europe that were surveyed, had one of the most favorable views of the US.

Map #37 is wrong. It shows Russia as a predominantly Moslem country, when actually only a few southern parts of Russia really have Moslem population.
