India, Japan, Tibet etc.
Eastern asia except the commies from Vietnam and China.

The most intolerant are western countries (the old catholic world...) and the heart of africa where they have anti-gay laws and no animal rights.

Based on this description, progressivism is more restrictive than the status quo. I agree.

Nice try.

East Asia is one step away from the Middle East and Africa as far as intolerance goes. In many ways it's even worse.

Anglophone and Western Europe are easily the most open societies.

I think Canada is probably your best contender. It's all of the above and more, (including having a political party called The Communist Party of Canada since 1921) and it's even tolerant of conservatives. But Canada's friendliness, progressiveness and tolerance shouldn't be mistaken to mean that Canada is a pushover, because it's not. Canada is stubborn and tough when it has to be.

I should have added a country/countries where your privacy is more respected.

India? What if I am catholic? what if I want to eat a T-bone or any sort of cow meat?. What if I want to get married with an Indian woman being from a western country? and sexual relations just dating? Those are questions I have, people/authorities would tolerate all those things in India?

I know, but which ones? For example, in Spain you can be discriminated/kicked if you are homosexual or due to racist matters, I mean by neo-nazi groups and similar so basically you should be aware where you go and where you are if you belong to one of those groups. Not all the people accept those things. I guess is the same in most countries in Europe.

I don't think that's a good example. Those groups are usually not very representative of a country. Not to mention when looking at tolerance, national laws play an important role.
