I like Portuguese and Greek anthems.
The French one is nice, too.

Below I read the words to the Russian national anthem for the first time and noticed how similar they are to Canada's.

Haha!
Hey, let's be honest.
The Russian anthem is the remake of the Soviet one when it comes to lyrics.
These are the original lyrics (except for that original "Stalin" is substituted with "Lenin" here.)
And I agree with one of the comments there; "It doesn't matter what your views on the USSR are. This is one grand anthem."
It sure is, because it reflects a lot of things about Russians - not just their "political system." It is a powerful, moving piece, particularly in the older version, sung by the Red Army choir.

P.S. French anthem belongs to the same category as in being very moving and distinct - even without knowing the lyrics))))

France, Germany have good ones. As for Russia- Russian one as well, no matter how someoneīs views on Russia are. Here is tsarsī anthemn, that is good as well:

At first sight it reminds me maybe a bit British anthemn but I like it more. The conductor is excellent.

Worst anthemn? I donīt know, I am not a judge and tastes, musical traditions differ but I personally donīt love too "modern" arrangements eg a capella performed (soloist without instrumental accompaniment) anthemns like one can hear before football matches.

AnhityK...
I think I've posted it somehow before, but I don't mind re-posting it.
After the fall of the Soviet Union, they were considering taking Glinka's epilogue from the opera "Life for the Tzar" as a new Russian anthem,

and some wanted even "Fairwell of Slavyanka" - yet another greatly recognizable piece from Russian history.
But I think the majority couldn't part with the old anthem - it just felt so "homeland." So they simply changed the lyrics.

P.S. I am not a big fan of "God save the Tzar," but Glinka's epilogue "Glory to the Russian people" has a lot in common spirit with current/Soviet anthem I think.

Best sounding in my opinion(not sure I've heard them all yet):
Hungarian

Those lyrics are depressing though.

I'll have to dig some more for the worst sounding.
