We don't have any "weird" laws. But I don't like how voting is compulsory in a democratic country, and how everyone (if chosen) is legally obliged to do jury duty. In a free society, everyone should be able to make a personal choice.

here are some weird/unusual laws in the state of Washington (in the US)
Dumb Laws in Washington. Crazy Washington Laws. We have weird laws, strange laws, and just plain crazy laws!

1. The harassing of Bigfoot, Sasquatch or other undiscovered subspecies is a felony punishable by a fine and/or imprisonment.

2. X-rays may not be used to fit shoes.

3. A law to reduce crime states: “It is mandatory for a motorist with criminal intentions to stop at the city limits and telephone the chief of police as he is entering the town.

4. It is illegal to paint polka dots on the American flag.

5. People may not buy a mattress on Sunday.

6. All motor vehicles must be preceded by a man carrying a red flag (daytime) or a red lantern (nighttime) fifty feet in front of said vehicle.

7. When two trains come to a crossing, neither shall go until the other has passed.

8. You cannot buy meat of any kind on Sunday.

9. It is illegal to pretend that one’s parents are rich.

10. All lollipops are banned.

obviously most people don't follow these laws, and nobody enforces them.

My family emigrated from there many decades ago but in China, you need the government's permission to relocate to certain places, particularly urban areas.

I would spend days if I'll paste all the insane laws concerning taxes in Brazil.

Oregon state has a weird law where people are not allowed to fill up their own cars with gas, there are employees at every gas station who do that for you. It also creates quite a bit of problems when Oregonians travel outside the state and don't know how to fill up their own cars.

Yep, just like Victoria. I could buy a pretty decent bike with the fines I've paid.

We have an identical law. In the whole country. It's awful, we brazilians travel to USA and Europe and we just don't know what to do in a gas station without an employee doing the service.
