The only one is Germany.

India, maybe in 20 years. Japan? Not in 100 years. Brazil, they need to get their sh*t together first.

I don't mind if the UK is kicked out.

Im brazilian and not an enthusiast of being permanent member of the UNSC. We are struggling to solve our own issues concerning public safety, how could we have this pretension? Brazil should be neutral in the world politics.

Germany is our bro, so they should have the permanent seat.

The AFD now gaining the 13% of the votes in Germany, and you want to give them such a sensitive political spot? No, still too early on Germany for that. Japan or even Brazil are better candidates.

Tier 1 Nations: China, USA
Tier 2 Nations: France, Germany, Japan, Russia, UK
Tier 3 Nations: Brazil, India, Italy
Tier 4 Nations: Australia, South Korea, Spain, Turkey

Why is India a better candidate then either Brazil or Japan?

Why should the UK be kicked out?

There is a some chance, perhaps remote, that India could be involved in a major war (Fourth Industrial War), and as part of that process, with autonomous action, emerge as major victor against Pakistan and China with a significant voice at the settlement table.

If that were to happen, yes, fat chance, India could nudge its way into the Security Council permanently.

I don't see Brazil on its own accord invading Venezuela, for example, taking over its oil resources, and perhaps Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana with it. On the contrary, the Brazilians seem to trip just tying their own shoelaces every ten years or so.

French Guiana is the Europe's only independent access to space. I think that wanting to invade it would be a very bad idea.
