There are 7.5 billion people in the world and only 1.2 billion live in developed countries; making middle income countries a more realistic average of the world in which we live in.

Which of these relatively large, populated middle income countries would you prefer to live in if relocation was a requirement, say 5-10 years minimum?

Out of the five on the list, the only ones I'd consider are Colombia and Indonesia. I'm still on the fence about South Africa. I would consider visiting Egypt and Ukraine, but that's about it.

Colombia. It shares a border with Brazil and the culture is similar.

Egypt (though after visit to Israel I can no longer go there...).

Ukraine is more overrated than Mila Kunis + Ukraine/Columbia are places where "creep white rednecks" from America go to find "traditional christian prostitutes" .

Edit: SA, don't they hate whites over there? Indonesia...they look like...Indonesians.

The only one I would consider living in is Colombia.

South Africa is a beautiful country but too many social problems.

The other three on the list I wouldn't even consider zero interest in experiencing life in those countries.

I was under the impression that Egypt has an open border with Israel. I don't think they bar travel if you have an Israeli stamp in your passport.

Egypt is against homosexuality and is generally homophobic. So my life will be living hell there.

Indonesia is also very Islamic, but also a horrible country when it comes to its climate (hot and humid all year round).

South Africa has a high murder rate. But are there a few cities that are very safe in contrast to the others?

Columbia has a lot of crime, such as drug abuse and kidnappings.

So I guess I'm left with Ukraine. Which isn't that bad - Kiev is relatively safe. The Crimean region is the war-torn one.
