Vacationed in Maldives and loved it. I haven't been to a better resort.

Thought about it but no.

The resort we stayed at was the entire island in the Maldives...pretty awesome though a bit expensive.

Neither have I but Bora Bora does look more impressive than the Maldives. The closest I've come is Old Providence and I love that island - very old school Caribbean.

Do you remember the name of the island in the Maldives?

I have been to the Blue Lagoon but not the other two but my guess is I would like Bora Bora the best and I do intend to visit at some point in the future

Not been to any of them, but from your list, I would rank them Bora Bora, Maldives, Blue Lagoon.

Not sure why this three, but Blue Lagoon is not exactly a "resort". It's good to spend half a day or maybe a whole day there, but no need to spend the night there, as most people don't go back there the next day.

It also depends on individual preferences, along with time and budget considerations. As far away as these destinations are from each other, I would prefer to just go to the closer one. I myself cannot stand staying in a resort without going elsewhere after 2 to 3 nights, and I don't think flying to any resort for more than 8 hours one-way is worth it, however nice it is, without spending time elsewhere.

Urbanite loyalty is quite absent. Even though I am finding hypnotic allure with these relative nature retreats, there are extra fast variety roller coaster ride types of energy rush offerings available in vast concrete jungles.
