Turkey and Erdogan are not friends of the West, and we need to start waking up to that fact. The country is slowly but surely becoming less secular, more religious and more anti-Western. Freedom of the press and democratic institutions have been severely hampered in Ankara in recent years. Acting like it's some East meets West, secular place is a crock of sh*t.

True, but I don’t think the points you mentioned are the reason the West’s relationship with Turkey is fraying, we are close allies with SA which is worse on all those points.
The west will do everything in it's power not to lose Turkey. Turkey, geostrategically, is way too important. It's one of the most important countries in NATO. If the west loses Turkey it will be a huge embarrassment and will fundamentally change the chess board in the middle east.
However if the west loses Turkey, then NATO will give Greece the greenlight to kick out the Turks on Cyprus. It will be interesting who Russia would back in such a scenario, their eastern orthodox brothers, or their historical nemesis?

I don't think so. All the Western powers are pretty much fed up with Erdogan, and most of the voters of Europe are very against the recent developments of Turkey. True that Turkey has an extremely valuable geopolitical situation, which was the sole reason that Turkey became a part of NATO.
Despite the rational geopolitical situation, I think NATO is working a lot on smearing Turkey, and even kick it out from NATO.

Secular nature of the republic of Turkey corroded greatly since Turkey became a member of NATO. US supported and used Islamist cults in Turkey for decades. I have no problem with Turkey being out of NATO. I don’t think Turkey would ever become a part of Nato if Stalin didn’t have territorial claims against Turkey after second world war.
Will it last?
Can Washington influence ever be beat?
Will Saudi Arabia, Israel, and the US beat them?
The US and Israel should dump Saudi Arabia, while Russia should dump Iran and Turkey (at least since the Erdogan era)
Then we can have an alliance between the US, Russia and Israel.

Erdogan is showing his true colors which lines him with Iran's.
