Just to get a feel as to which area of the field you are playing from, what are your general feelings about Erdogan?

50% of the country does not like Erdogan. He is so reactionist.

He compares himself with Ataturk. The world knows Turkey wrong. We are not Arab. But Erdogan like arabs too much

I hope someone like Ataturk will become president.

Thank you. I will be following this thread and reading your answers. You live in a historic gold mine that I hope to visit before my time is done.

I know that Turkey, while overwhelming islamic, is more secular than other islamic countries. How does it translate into the daily life? Do people stop the activities five times per day to pray? Do women wear hijab? Is the Ramadan fasting really observed?

Turkey is one place I hope to visit at some point in my life. Istanbul is a fascinating city. I love the melange of cultures present there.

Can I say that I have been to Turkey three times and it is one of my favourite places on earth. I was fortunate to be able to attend Anzac Day celebrations at Gallipoli in 2007 and continued on to wonderful places like Cappadocia. I wish the country the very best for its future.

Do locals shop much in the Grand Bazaar?

Love Turkey, one of the few countries I have been to more than once.
