I want to know what city came in 33rd, and missed the cut. Or did they just take 32 cities that met some other criteria, and then rank them best to worst for affordable friendly fun?

Very few people from Boston want to move to Chicago, I suppose.

Melbourne is known as fun and friendly but not affordable at all.

Sorry to say but this whole list seems bogus in their rankings.... it's like they took a bunch of random world cities, put them in a hat and drew them randomly to make a list

It's at #15, and I'd imagine safety and especially commute probably took it down quite a bit.

Honolulu is even more expensive than Miami and although its pretty, doesn't have quite as much to do as South Florida, and the commute time is longer than you might expect.

Canada gets the shaft as I was expecting Montreal before even Toronto or Vancouver appeared. One of those likely just missed the cut.

Except for Moscow, no other Eastern European cities, no Italy, India, Seoul, or South American cities that could have made it as well. Even Africa could have been a darkhorse as its affordable in most places and is rapidly developing into some modern cultures while preserving the past.

Another quality product from Business Insider...

The criteria seems random. Where's Budapest? Prague? Both are very affordable and are world famous for night life.

DC sucks for dating and it's expensive. I'd give it points for culture though.
