Boston (3rd from bottom in the list) is the least friendly city I have ever been in. In fact, none of the cities listed - that I have been in - conjure up images of good 'ole congenial citizens. Must be graded on a curve.

I couldn't disagree more with much of this list. I will only comment on cities that I have visited.
I grew up just outside of Philly (Chester, PA), and while it may belong on this list, no way #9, more like #30.
Chicago at #1? I sure most people outside of IL find that hysterical.
Washington wouldn't crack my personal top 50.
Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Tokyo are all top 10 as far as I am concerned.
I liked Singapore, but would go with Kuala Lumpur in it's spot.
What about Amsterdam? It belongs on this list.

A lot seems to be weighted towards affordability. I do think Chicago is a pretty happening place, I have great fun every time I go but maybe it's because my cousins know all the spots.

I like that Manchester made the list, this city keeps getting better & better. I may relocate there this year.

There sure are a lot of definitions of "fun". And, "affordable", apparently. Did I mention "friendly"?

The lists okay, although it's possible not a list that would spring to mind in relation to affordable.

I like Manchester - but 7th, in the world? That's just ridiculous. There are countless other cities in Europe that are much more interesting - and affordability can't be that important with London and New York on the list.
