I disagree, very few of those countries have any population growth that is explosive at least compared to the rest of the world. Pakistan and Egypt are the only ones that is well over replacement level.

Iran
Turkey
Bangladesh
Are all under replacement or directly on it.

Indonesia and Saudi Arabia are heading there.

One of the first place I thought of was Chad.
at the time of independence, Fort Lamy was a sleepy bush town, the capital of a nearly trackless desert. Now known as N'djamena, it is the center of a sort of African golden triangle, on the borders of Cameroon and Nigeria, and the booming interior has 15 million people. Chad's PPP is abvove average for Africa.

Oh please, after Indonesia the rest of that "list" is a rounding error not worth mentioning.

Incredible is the United States, for its already tremendous size still contributing significantly to global growth.

On the other hand, a lot of that is attributable to mere population growth and debt spending, as productivity has sagged badly.

As for the rest, good luck rummaging through the rounding errors, including much of the economy that never makes it to an official "list" (rounding errors).

Iran will be the next global economic power if the Americans stop killing my people and sanctioning them to starvation.

Even after years of chemical warfare, bombs, blockades, revolutions, coups, and more the Iranian people still produce the most engineers in the world, more than their western counter-parts.

Absolutely right on both counts. If the base had been 2016 to 2024 or any other pair of years, the rounded off numbers would have fallen into a completely different ordering, and 2017-2023 are completely arbitrary markers.

My experience in Iran showed me that the Iranians are a wonderfully competent and civilized people
