It's fair to say this cities have some similarities. Mostly in regards to climate, topography and layout. I'm wondering which is the best overall. Here's some criteria to consider

1. Dowtown
2. Walkability
3. Economy
4.Climate
5. Outdoor Recreation
6. Architecture
7. Scenery
8. Transportation (Public and Car)
9. Most Accepting of transplants (Foreign or otherwise)
10. Food
11. Best Place to raise kids
12. Where would you ultimately rather live?

I have only been to Seattle but I will take a stab at it anyway based on what I have read about Auckland/Oslo

Downtown: Not sure but Auckland's seems nice with the 2 harbours
Walkability: Not totally sure but think Oslo.
Economy: Oslo provided you can speak Norwegian.
Climate: Auckland by far.
Outdoor recreation: Auckland/Seattle tie. Both have awesome nature close by. Oslo isn't bad either.
Architecture: Oslo
Scenery: Seattle. Love that view of Mt. Rainier on a clear day.
Transportation - Public: Oslo
Car: Seattle/Auckland tie
Most accepting of transplants: Seattle
Food: Seattle seems to have the most variety.
Best place to raise kids: Not sure but maybe tie with Auckland/Seattle
Where would I ultimately rather live? AUCKLAND for sure because the climate difference brings it significantly above the others for me

1 Downtown: Seattle or Oslo. Oslo for overall urbanity.
2 Walkability: Oslo. See above.
3 Economy: Which part?
Climate: Auckland
Outdoor Recreation: depends on what. Seattle prettiest, Oslo perhaps most diverse activities, Auckland the one is take though.
Architecture: Oslo
Scenery: Seattle, though Auckland competes
I think I’d take Auckland. Not sure if there’s an exact reason why, I just really like d the feel of the place.
