Iím actually wondering (mainly to learn new things about other countries).

What country advertises itself or is historical based off of spooky elements (haunted castles, ghosts, vampires, demons, etc.).

I know some haunted cities (like Salem Mass.) but what is a general country that fits this description in atheistics, manner, behavior, legend, marketing, etc.

London has a lot of notable ghosts, as does Paris which also has the famous catacombs.

I love ghost stories and spooky things. LOL I don't like gore though.

I mentioned the UK because in popular culture in english speaking countries, UK ghost stories are more widely known.

Of course every place has some great stories. A lot from the eastern part of the US are quite fun. We have a lot in Canada as well. The Maritimes have some good ones. Here in BC as well, and many haunted places in Vancouver.

The difference is that we don't advertise ourselves, or tell the tales as often, as you do in the UK.

Two local stories.

Interesting stories, I do like Canadian Cities and there is a lot of interesting history in Canada.

In terms of the UK, there are numerous places from Pendle where the witch trials took place, through to Whitby where Bram Stoker's Dracula came ashore in the book and which is a spooky town with a whaling history to start with, and there are numerous castles and ancient fortifications scattered around the UK.

Here's a few for you.
