For Canada I would go further and say the summertime is underrated by people who don't know any better.

Many seem to think we are like Iceland with almost no real summer weather at all.

The cultural diversity and the technologic potential.

Brazil is an immensely huge country with very distinct landscapes and a myriad of cultural nuances, almost in the same level of USA, and also some technological hubs like São Carlos, Campinas and Campina Grande which should deserve a larger focus in investments because there is a highly capable and young people.

When some foreigner think of Brazil, they will revere only non-human things such as forest and beaches and, when talking about human features, they will remember mostly of urban violence and shantytowns (the infamous "favelas"), despite of the "friendliness of the people". This stereotype is very exaggerated and, with a so huge country with so huge population, it's more than expected that it has tons of regional features and nuances, almost as USA - if not more.

About my city... well, it's a third world city; thus, any comparison with New York, London, Paris, as I often read, would be quite unfair. However, considering it's size, the local and the fact of not being a country capital, São Paulo does the best possible. I really *hate* the overhead wires, graffiti and lack of green areas, however... it has a decent and world-class CBD, high level restaurants, concert halls, museums... and it has many pleasant small cities, beaches and forests in the nearby. Nobody would choose SP as a destination, however, I think that some tourists going to Rio, Florianópolis or Iguassu Falls should stay for more time in São Paulo and discover its cultural landscape.

The Colombian spirit.
The ability to always lend a helping hand, to keep positive, to be gentle, well spoken and hospitable, to squeeze the last drop out of every moment of joy despite the immense adversity faced from being the most dangerous country in the world for decades.

Australian literature and writers are some of the gifted in the world.

It must have something to do with the English stock...perhaps the same goes for American writers, though you'd think the Colonial would have been bred out.
